Working at Marlborough Summer
Who are our Camp Counselors?
Marlborough Summer School utilizes talented high school and college students to assist and inspire our K-12 summer school participants. They are provided with extensive training and are mentored and supervised by Administrative Coordinators. Our Counselors are expected to approach their roles with a seriousness of purpose, a love of learning, and a joyful spirit.
Who can apply?
High school and college students who are are in 11th grade or above, may apply to work at Marlborough Summer School. Applicants must be able be to commit to our five-week program, and a week of training, Each summer, Marlborough Summer School selects approximately 60 counselors who demonstrate dedication, energy, organization, and leadership skills and display the desire to work with K-9 students.
What are the commitments and responsibilities?
Marlborough Summer School Counselors are expected to:
- Commit to working with a diverse population of faculty and students;
- Be conscience workers who show initiative and fulfill their respective responsibilities to create a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment for our students;
- Commit to ongoing reflection and support of the program and students;
- Contribute to the life, spirit, and community of the Marlborough Summer School program.
